Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Tried the place today and the experience started off weak. Staff didn’t greet us when we walked in, which already set the tone. Then there were the small details they missed: no coaster for the coffee mug even though the cup itself looked good. The main course plate size is too small — feels like they’re serving a main dish on a side-dish plate, which throws off the presentation. The biggest issue is the price. For what you get, it’s overpriced. They need to cut the price by around 20% to match the value. Right now, it’s not worth it. Positives: • Food has solid, strong flavors. • Coffee is decent. • The atmosphere is actually veryy nice, comfortable enough to sit and enjoy. • Music volume is perfectly set — easy to talk without shouting. • We ordered tika masala omurice and cream prawn omurice, and both were good. Overall: good flavors and a pleasant atmosphere, but service and pricing still drag the experience down."
"Not a big fan of omurice, but Omonyo’s modern twist on it caught my attention. I ordered the Hamburg Mushroom set, and while the sauce was super creamy, I wish the mushroom flavor had been stronger. The food presentation was amazing, but fun fact—I totally fell for their salad! It was so fresh and absolutely to die for. The place itself is cozy, with plenty of seating, making it perfect for group gatherings. If you ever visit Omonyo, don’t forget to end your meal with their variety of kakigori flavors. It’s super refreshing and totally worth a try!"
"The curry rice was light and not too big. The wooden decor tries to bring a japanese shop ambience. the music was nice and relaxing."
"Food is all good. No complain. Price is good. Clean and nice place. Meat is jucy. Rice looks like its all wet because of the curry but actually not. Its only on the side, so not going to mess the rice taste and consistency. Portion is good"
"Japanese curry is known for its savory and mildly sweet flavor profile. The katsu should provide a satisfying crunch that complements the creamy curry sauce perfectly. The vegetables are likely to be tender and cooked just right, absorbing the delicious curry flavors. The portion size looks generous and should be quite filling, making it a perfect meal for lunch. Overall, this dish seems like a comforting and satisfying choice, especially if you're a fan of Japanese cuisine. If you get the chance to try it, enjoy every bite!"
"Lovely staff great foods and nice ambiance... The price are reasonable in the high that match the portions. Limited seat but lovely waitress and cashier.. If you up a google review can get 5 percent discount"
"Tucked away in a quiet corner, this hidden gem is proof that great things often come in humble packages. Do expect a short wait—about 15–20 minutes for your food to be freshly prepared—but rest assured, it’s worth every second. I tried the kids meal, chicken nanban, and the hamburg demi-glace set with omurice. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted with layers of flavor. The hamburg was perfectly cooked—juicy and rich—while the omurice paired beautifully with the tangy demi-glace, leaving a pleasant, subtle sour finish. The ambiance is equally charming. From the second floor, you’ll enjoy views of a nearby soccer field through wide windows that flood the space with natural light—an inviting atmosphere that subtly echoes a commitment to sustainability."
"I would give 5 stars. Taste is so good. Authentic. Original. Good location and good view from second floor . You can see CIBIS lake or mini soccer view. Depand on where you sitting are."
